As a freelance illustrator, I am often inspired by my childhood, a time of imaginative possibilities while surrounded in the nature and simplicity of Indiana. Art became a safe haven for me, a chance to be able to express my thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment.
By using art as a form of communication, I wish to help people in any way I possibly can, even if it is simply putting a smile on their face.
I wish to bring awareness to mental health, especially to a younger audience, hence my focus on children's book illustrations. I feel that this is an age range that is often overlooked, yet extremely crucial in the transition of innocence into adulthood. My main message is that life is not a linear progress, one should never feel that they have to suppress their emotions or their true character at any point of life, for we are still growing.
